As the only true 2-way humidity control, Boveda has been exploding in the medical cannabis market because it maximizes efficacy, aroma, color and flavor while promoting a cooler burn.
Boveda has become a staple in many dispensaries, grow operations and personal storage because you can now store cannabis indefinitely. Yes, really. As long as you have a Boveda with life in it (it’s time for replacement when you can’t bend it in half anymore) you can keep perfectly stored cannabis forever. And since Boveda enhances the quality of cannabis, it’s the first time you can reliably age cannabis like you would a wine or cigar.
Boveda is ideal for storing and curing (aging) cannabis that has already been dried. While Boveda is effective in moisture removal, the standard method of hanging in a dry environment is most effective. When you feel the plant is close to the intended moisture content for curing, Boveda will do the fine tuning for perfect long term storage. Grow it, dry it, package it with Boveda. You get perfect long term curing for the best possible cannabis.
While 3rd party testing has determined the ideal storage humidity at 59-63% RH based on maximizing color, aroma and flavor, we offer a variety of RH levels to suit individual preference.
It’s impossible for Boveda to humidify beyond the RH on the pack, so there’s no such thing as using “too much”. We recommend using the largest Boveda that will fit in a given container and 2-4 60g Boveda for a one gallon or larger container.
WHAT’S IN BOVEDA?
Inside each Boveda is a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane. Inside that membrane is a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. As needed, Boveda releases or absorbs purified water vapor through the membrane to maintain a predetermined level of (RH).
Boveda provides the cleanest and most purified humidity of all other products available on the market today.
*Note: Do not mix Boveda RH levels within the same cannabis container. Do not use Boveda with other humidification products. They will fight against each other and reduce the efficiency of the Boveda.
One might expect that if you use a high RH Boveda in the same container as a lower RH Boveda that you’ll achieve an environment somewhere in the middle. That is not the case, instead the moisture just transfers back and forth between the Boveda packs.
